Nexium Control is used to treat frequent heartburn and acid reflux in adults over 18 years old. These are symptoms of an acid-related acid reflux that occur more frequently in people taking Nexium than in people not taking other medications.
Take Nexium Control by mouth with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or break. Nexium Control is to be taken once a day. Take this medication at least 1 hour before a meal that contains stomach acid. Taking it with food may help you to reduce the chance of stomach upset. Taking it with food can increase your risk of stomach ulcers and other gastric problems.
Ask your doctor if you have, or have ever had, heartburn, stomach pain, or fever. Nexium Control may cause diarrhea, gas, stomach pain or discomfort. Contact your doctor if you experience these symptoms.
This medication may be taken with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Do not crush, break, or chew. Taking the medication with food may make it easier to control heartburn and acid reflux.
Ask your doctor about the use of this medication in children. This product should only be used as directed by a physician. Ask your doctor for more information.
Ask your doctor what other nutritional supplements may be used to treat your acid reflux and heartburn. These supplements may not be right for you. Your doctor may occasionally lower your dose of Proton pump inhibitors to once or twice a day, depending on your condition. Do not take more than one PPI on a single day.
